BILL Antonio, the former Dynamos winger who moved to Belgium in 2022, has signed a new three-year deal with KV Mechelen, the Belgian Pro League club.

The contract also includes an option for an extra year.

The 21-year-old has impressed the club with his performances in the first team and has been rewarded for his hard work and dedication.

Antonio, who joined KV Mechelen from Dynamos, has been attached to the club’s youth academy.

He has recently established himself as a regular starter in the wing position and has scored two goals in three matches this year.

He made his debut for the first team in a 2-2 draw against Anderlecht, where he netted the equaliser in the second half.

Antonio expressed his happiness and gratitude for the new contract and said he wants to help the club achieve its goals.

He also said he feels at home with the club, his teammates, and the fans.

“I feel great here. I had to adapt to football here, but I just kept working hard. I feel great with the club, my teammates and the supporters. My goal is to help the team move forward. It’s great that I can continue to do that in the Malinwa equipment in the coming years,” said Antonio.

The club’s sporting director, Tim Matthys, praised Antonio for his development and potential saying the new contract is a sign of the club’s faith in him.

He also said the contract is a message to other young players that they should perform well on the field, and they will be rewarded accordingly.–@brandon_malvin
