32 New Year babies born at Bulawayo’s major hospitals

A TOTAL of 32 babies were delivered on New Year’s Day in Bulawayo’s major hospitals, Mpilo Central Hospital and United Bulawayo Hospitals.

Of the total, 14 are girls while 18 are boys/

Mpilo public relations officer Sister Norma Mabhena said the biggest of the babies weighed 3, 5 kg while the smallest weighed 2,7kg.

“We had a total of 13 deliveries on Monday and we got bouncing baby boys and girls who are doing well so far. Of the total, 10 were boys while three were girls,” said Sr Mabhena.

“All the babies and their mothers are in good health and we are hoping to continue giving residents quality healthcare services as we start the New Year,” she said.

A total of 19 babies were delivered at UBH on New Year’s Day.
