Peter Moyo and rising musician Simba The Lion will tomorrow night share the stage at Miami Nightclub in Sunningdale.

It will be a night when Moyo will pay tribute to his father Tongai who passed away on October 15, 2011 after a battle with cancer.

Many music lovers shared their memories of the musician this week as they celebrated his life and achievements.

Peter, who is popularly known as Young Igwe, also posted a message on social media thanking his father for giving him the reins at Utakataka Express. He said he is happy people have accepted him as a different musician from his father.

In an interview about the show yesterday, Peter said he will perform most of his father’s hits as he takes people down memory lane.

“It is a show that comes in a week when most people are commemorating the life of the late great Dhewa. It will be one of the shows to salute my father and we will perform many songs from his discography,” said Peter.

“Over the past events, I have been trying to push my own songs more for people to realise that I am my own man, but this week I am dedicating most songs on the playlist to the commemoration.”

On the other hand, Simba The Lion will be celebrating a new video that he did with Mai Titi titled “Ngatironge”. The musician is happy with the reception of the video since it was released early this week.

“The video is doing well and we will be celebrating the good response. We will also market it at the show and explain the concept to our fans. My album ‘Hossana’ has been accepted by promoters and we are having many shows,” said Simba The Lion.
