4 accident victims buried

FOUR members of the same family who died after their car collided head-on with a bus in Australia, were yesterday given an emotional send-off by family and friends at a funeral service held at ZAOGA Forward in Faith Pentecostal Church in Bulawayo.

The Zimbabweans, Emmet Moyo, 38, her two daughters Sibonginkosi, 8, Sibusiso, 5, and 12-month old son Sandulo, died when the Hyundai Getz they were travelling in collided with a 40-seater bus on Australia’s Goldfields Highway on their way home after attending a church service at ZAOGA Forward in Faith Pentecostal Church.

A sombre atmosphere engulfed the funeral service as relatives and friends paid their last respects.

Speaking during the funeral service, a relative from the Moyo family said both the Moyo and Ndlovu families had been robbed of their loved ones.

Some mourners broke down during body-viewing.

Two days before the tragic accident, Bongani Ndlovu, Moyo’s husband and father of the children, had flown back to Zimbabwe. The family had been living in the small country town of Kambalda for the past two years.
