4 perish in Harare-Mutare highway accident

Four people died while another one was injured on 14 April when a haulage truck collided head-on with a Nissan NP300 vehicle at the 110 km peg along the Harare-Mutare highway.

It is said the driver of a Mutare-bound haulage truck encroached in the lane of oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with the Harare-bound vehicle.

Mashonaland East provincial spokesperson, Inspector Simon Chazovachiyi confirmed the sad development and said four people died in the accident which occurred around 5pm.
