THULANI Joseph scored a stunning winner from about 40 metres as Chicken Inn beat Dynamos 1-0 yesterday to complete a league double over the Harare giants and end coach Aritsica Cioaba’s unbeaten Premiership run.

The Chicken Inn midfielder spotted goalkeeper Idrissou Nfor off his line in the second half and scored the only goal of the match.
The defeat left Dynamos on 46 points, 11 behind leaders Scottland, with seven matches remaining.

Chicken Inn had won the reverse fixture 2-1, while Joseph’s strike was his second league goal of the season after opening his account against Triangle United.
“I am very happy because I have been working hard and it is good to see the effort paying off,” said Joseph.

“Scoring against Dynamos is special because they are a big team, but the most important thing was helping the team get the result.”
The win eased some of the disappointment of Chicken Inn’s recent exits from two cup competitions.
They lost to Highlanders on penalties in the Chibuku Super Cup before being knocked out of the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup by Ngezi Platinum.
“We had a difficult period after being knocked out of the two cup competitions, so this win means a lot to us,” said Joseph.
“We wanted to respond on the pitch and show that we can still fight for good results.”
Chicken Inn have now won three of their last five league matches.
