Over 500 exhibitors are expected to take part in this week’s National Disability Expo, which will be held at Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo.

The three-day national expo will kick off on Wednesday and end on Friday, when President Mnangagwa is expected to grace the occasion and officially open the annual event.

The expo will run under the theme ‘Embracing Disability Inclusion in All Sectors: A Masterstroke for National Prosperity and Economic Development.’

This morning, various sub-committees held a preparatory meeting at the venue, with Director for Coordination of Government Programmes in the Office of Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ms Rosemary Chingwe, chairing the meeting.

Workmen were busy erecting tents at the Mucheke Stadium Arena, which will host the event alongside Mucheke Stadium.

National Disability Expo 2026 national chairperson, Mr Charles Mugwamba said preparations are now almost complete.

“We are excited that preparations for this year’s Expo, which will be graced by President Mnangagwa, are now almost complete,” he said.

“Over 500 exhibitors have confirmed their participation at this year’s event.”

Mr Mugwamba said more than 80 000 people from across the country are expected to attend the Expo.
