55 arrested for illegal mining in Operation Clean-Up

POLICE have apprehended 55 people in connection with illegal gold mining during ongoing Operation Clean-Up.

In a statement, police said the suspects were arrested at Empress Turn-off, Battlefields, Kadoma.

“The ZRP confirms the arrest of 55 suspects at Empress Turn-off, Battlefields, Kadoma in connection with illegal mining activities during the operation Clean Up,” reads the statement.
