ONE of Chief Nyakunhuwa’s aid, Joseph Mashavave has reportedly disappeared after he was reportedly abducted by four unknown men, together with his wife Hazviinzani.

Joseph was elected to run the traditional courts of Chief Nyakunhuwa on 11 February 2019, as he is regarded as a senior member of the clan.

Sources revealed that the couple was abducted from their house om 1 December and and their whereabouts were not known.

This is not the first time that the two have hogged the limelight due to their political activities as in 2008 they were once again abducted and had their house burnt down.

Villagers revealed that the couple’s abduction could be linked with a case that Joseph had handled in the traditional court.

“The issue happened in the run up to the 2018 Presidential harmonised elections, were one Renias Mukachi brought a matter where he wanted his two beasts which were taken by Zanu-PF members, only identified as Jayi and Alec, to the party youth at their base.

“Joseph told the ring leaders to return the beasts to the owner. However, this did not go down well with the accused individuals as they vowed to deal with Joseph for being biased,” said the source.
