6 tsikamutanda’s in court for US$492 extortion

The six demanded household goods, cash and livestock worth US$492.
They threatened their victims with mysterious death if they failed to comply with their orders.
Tinashe Nyamakwere (26), LearnmoreTani (22), Kudzai Chengeta, family members Violence, Emmanuel and Victor Dobiwa all of Rockbar Farm in Mhondoro were not asked to plead to extortion charges.

They appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Donald Masawi who remanded them in custody to Friday for bail ruling.

The six are represented by Mr Elias Mapondere of Magodora and Partners.
Allegations against the six arose on June 6 and at Shrewsburg and Ripplemed Farms in Beatrice when they compelled five people to attend their ritual cleansing ceremony.

They asked them to gather for a goblins exorcism exercise. They lined them outside a room they were operating in.

After the exercise, they demanded household goods including television sets, radios, goats, chicken and cash for the service rendered.

The team threatened their victims with death and super natural spiritual attacks if they failed to have their goblins caught or disposed.
