A BREAKDOWN OF THE ROBBERY AT FARM OWNED BY CHIVAYO’S IN-LAWS

MORE details of the armed robbery at the farm owned by Wicknell Chivayo’s in-laws early Tuesday morning have emerged.
  • There were 20 armed robbers and they raided the farm at about 1am on Tuesday.
  • The armed robbers were armed with three rifles, two pistols, two bolt cutters, machetes and iron bars.
  • A total of US$18k cash, and a pistol loaded with two rounds, and two cell phones, were stolen from the first bedroom.
  • A cell phone and US$1 100 in cash were stolen from the second bedroom.
  • The robbers stole US$55 000 cash in the safe of the main bedroom.
  • The total value stolen was US$74 600.
