TWO Chaplin High School pupils in Gweru who were doing Advanced Level allegedly raped a Form Three girl from the same school in a school office after hoodwinking her that she had been summoned by the school authorities.
The duo last week appeared before Gweru magistrate Mr Edwin Marecha facing rape charges. The two were not asked to plead and were remanded to 24 December on $200 bail each.
For the State, Ms Constance Mudzudzu alleged that the two boys connived to rape the girl in one of the teachers’ offices.
The court heard that, when the girl got into the office the two boys immediately closed the door.
One boy then went outside to guard the door and his friend started caressing her and inserting his fingers into her private part. Ms Madzudzu said he raped the girl before his accomplice unlocked the door.
The matter came to light when the girl went and reported the two to the school authorities. The school authorities made a police report leading to the two accused persons’ arrest.
