GWANDA Pirates head coach Johannes “Tshisa” Ngodzo is enjoying a fairytale run in charge of the Zifa Central Region Division One side, and young star Prince “Teaspoon” Gwetu is at the heart of it.

Ezimnyama Ngenkani sit third on the log with 36 points, trailing leaders Sheasham on 48 and second-placed Hardrock by six points. Despite recently losing ex-Warriors and Chicken Inn captain Danny “Deco” Phiri to Talen Vision, Ngodzo remains upbeat about his squad’s prospects.

“We still have other talented players who will always make some moves, but the big thing is to motivate those who remain,” said Ngodzo. “Experienced players like Welcome Ndiweni and youngsters like Prince Gwetu can help us achieve more.”
Gwetu (21) has quickly made his mark with 2 goals and 3 assists this season.

The lethal winger and midfielder, wearing jersey number 99, is known for his dribbling wizardry and offensive mind-set, tormenting defenders from start to finish. A former Bulawayo City FC, CIWU FC, and Adachi FC player, Gwetu brings energy, creativity, and discipline to the Pirates’ midfield.
