“BUT there is hope for a tree; if it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its shoots will not fail.” — John 14:7
My dear brothers and sisters, today I want to share with you the beauty of hope.
Think about it: a tree does not give up when it is cut down. It does not lose its purpose or its potential. Instead, it uses that pruning as an opportunity to grow stronger, to produce more fruit and to flourish in new ways. And that is exactly what God wants for us.
In Genesis 1:28, we are told, “Be fruitful and multiply.”
This is God’s desire for us — to be productive, to bear fruit and to leave a lasting impact. Even when we feel like we have been cut down, God still wants us to be fruitful and multiply.
He wants us to produce good works, to share His love with others and to leave a legacy that honours Him.
In a world where we face challenges, setbacks and uncertainties head-on, it is easy to lose sight of our potential and purpose. But the Word of God shows us that even in the darkest moments, there is hope.
As the scripture says, even when we feel broken, defeated or cut down, there is always hope for restoration and renewal. Just like a tree that sprouts again, we, too, can rise from the ashes, stronger and more resilient than before.
So, even when we are faced with adversity, we can hold onto hope.
We can trust that God will help us sprout again, that we will be fruitful and multiply and that our lives will count for something greater than ourselves.
We may face challenges, but we are not defeated. We may be cut down, but we will rise again.
Let this truth sink deep into our hearts: we are not defined by our circumstances, but by our God-given potential. We are not limited by our past, but empowered by our future.
So let us hold onto hope, let us trust in God’s goodness and let us strive to be fruitful and multiply, no matter what life throws our way.
As we navigate life’s ups and downs, let us remember that our hope is not in our own strength, but in God’s unfailing love and provision.
Let us trust that He has a plan to prosper us, to give us hope and a future.
Let us believe that even in the darkest moments, there is always a glimmer of light; always a chance for redemption and renewal.
So, I want to leave you with a challenge today: do not give up, do not lose hope and do not let your circumstances define you. Instead, rise above, trust in God’s goodness and let your life reveal His love and power.
You are fruitful, you are multiplying and you are making a difference, not because of your own strength, but because of God’s grace and mercy.
Let us pray: Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your word, which brings us hope and encouragement. Help us to trust in Your goodness, to believe in Your plan and to rise above our challenges.
Give us the strength to be fruitful and multiply, to produce good works and to leave a lasting impact.
