The Affirmative Action Group (AAG) is geared to work within the confines of the law and support Government programmes to achieve the Second Republic’s Vision 2030,
AAG vice president in charge of operations Mr Munyaradzi Kashambe, said they are committed to support Government programmes and involve the youth in nation building
“As you are aware now with the coming in of the New Dispensation a lot of indigenous business people are now involved in various business, but they need protection and they also need orientation that they should work within the parameters of the legal framework of this nation.
“Gone are the days when we used to go and grab white-owned companies. Now we have got a new approach and a new look of AAG people which is being run by young generation,” said Mr Kashambe. He challenged the youth to get involved in various sectors of the economy.
“We are also advocating for youths to embrace opportunities ” said Mr Kashambe.
He said their mandate is to protect indigenous people who want to participate in the various sectors of the economy
“Our mandate is to protect what we have as indigenous people and to agitate for more.
“AAG represents anyone who want to be empowered as long as they are Zimbabweans they are free to join AAG and access opportunities that are available,”.
AAG is a lobby group formed in 1994 to promote black economic empowerment.
