Acoustic Night roars to life

MATURE music lovers in the capital and its environs will tonight get a rare treat when the Acoustic Night Part 2 session roars to life.
This session brings together youthful and mature musicians under one roof where they will be playing mainly musical requests from their fans at Private Lounge.
Orchestra Dendera Kings boss Suluman Chimbetu, mbira queen Hope Masike, Progress Chipfumo, Kireni Zulu and a guest performer are all part of the bill. Man of the moment Jah Prayzah has been invited as a guest artiste.

Speaking to The Herald Entertainment last night, the show organiser said: “All is set for the second leg of the acoustic night session at our venue, which is now synonymous with Harare’s mature crowd.

“All the artistes in the line-up will be available at the event where we get to give patrons a taste of mature music, especially their requests.
“Being a midweek show, we will start around 7pm and it is our hope to give all the artistes in the line-up ample time to perform.

“We only brought back this session after making enquires with patrons. When we held the first session, patrons really enjoyed the slot and they have been asking for the second leg of these sessions.

“I can safely say we are well prepared for the event and we will continue holding similar shows.
“We also hope to engage more female artistes in future sessions as we feel they deserve a chance to be recognised as well.”
