THE battle for supremacy on the pool tables is set to intensify this weekend, with the Bulawayo Province Pool Association (BPPA) declaring all systems go for another action-packed round of fixtures.
With the competition gathering momentum, players and teams are expected to leave nothing on the table as the race for valuable points reaches a crucial stage.
BPPA fixtures secretary Kuda Shoko said preparations were complete and the association was ready for another weekend of high-octane pool action.
“It’s all systems go for the weekend action, and the action has reached fever pitch.”
The latest programme, fixture 22, features 10 intriguing encounters on Saturday, with teams across Bulawayo set to battle it out.
Golden Lion will take on Renegades, while Vultures face Team Perfect. Legends meet Raylton, with Kings going head-to-head against Fast Cash.
Delta will square off against Nkulumanе PC, while ZPC face Khami. Expendables take on QPA, Premier clash with Exchange, and AutoCom meet Entumbane.
The fixture list is rounded off by a potentially explosive encounter between Dragons and Lobengula Sharks.
With the action reaching fever pitch, the weekend promises plenty of pressure, tactical battles and moments of brilliance as teams fight to strengthen their positions.
For the players, there will be nowhere to hide once the first balls are broken. For the supporters, it is another opportunity to witness the drama that has made the BPPA competition one of the most keenly contested sporting programmes in the city.
