EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR could make a return to English football after walking out on Turkish club Kayserispor.
The ex-Arsenal striker spent 11 years in the Premier League with the Gunners, Manchester City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
Adebayor, 35, joined Kayserispor in August following a spell with their Super Lig rivals Istanbul Basaksehir.
He signed a one-year contract, but has now quit in the wake of the bottom-placed club’s financial problems.
The former Real Madrid loanee scored in Kayserispor’s 4-1 loss at Besiktas on Monday before announcing his departure.
The Togo international said: “This has been my last game for Kayserispor. I’ve had some good times in the past three months.
“But this has been an important decision — one of the most important I’ve made in my life.
“I’ve tried to show my energy and desire from the day I arrived. I’ve given my all for the team.
“But sometimes I have problems on my mind. I think about my family, and need to take decisions about my future.
“I don’t have any new club lined up for the time being.
“I’ll go back to Togo, spend some time with family and old friends, and get some clear ideas.
“I don’t know what the future may hold.”
In eight games for the club, the ex-Monaco forward chipped in with two goals and one assist.
