ZANU PF Secretary General Cde Advocate Jacob Mudenda is today leading Politburo members on another tour of the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) innovation hubs to appreciate progress made under Education 5.0.
Today’s tour follows another tour conducted two weeks ago when the delegation visited the UZ Industrial Incubation Centre in Msasa and the Agro-Industrial Park.
This morning, the delegation started at the UZ Specialist Medical Centre in Avondale, which was recently commissioned by President Mnangagwa, where they were taken through the facility’s specialist services and its role in reducing medical tourism and importation of health consumables.

The team is also expected to tour various other innovation hubs at the UZ main campus where heritage-based education projects are being commercialised for industrial growth and job creation.
Cde Mudenda is accompanied by Secretary for Education, Ideology and Research Cde Charles Tawengwa; Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha; Secretary for War Veterans Affairs Cde Douglas Mahiya; Zanu PF Secretary for External Relations, Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, among other senior party officials.

The tour is part of the ruling party’s oversight and support for Education 5.0, a heritage-based model championed by the Second Republic to transform universities into centres of innovation, industrialisation and import substitution.
