ZANU-PF Secretary-General, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, is today expected to meet members of the party’s Politburo and Central Committee from Matabeleland North at the provincial headquarters in Lupane.

Provincial chairperson Richard Moyo, who also serves as Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Matabeleland North, confirmed the development.

“The Secretary-General is in Matabeleland North today for a meeting with party provincial leadership,” said Cde Moyo.

The meeting comes at a time when there is ongoing national debate on Constitutional Amendment No. 3, with party structures expected to engage on its implications and provide guidance on the way forward.

Today’s meeting is also anticipated to focus on strengthening party structures and addressing key organisational and developmental issues affecting the province, while aligning provincial leadership with the party’s constitutional and legislative agenda.
