AFRICABET Bulawayo FC are targeting the Skies Social Soccer League title after making an encouraging start to the season, with manager Wadiwa Masaraure crediting discipline, teamwork and consistency for their impressive form.

The side have recorded four wins and one draw, leaving them second on the log, level on points with leaders Zimra as the race for the championship begins to take shape.
Masaraure believes his charges have the quality and mentality to challenge for the title but says maintaining their current standards will be crucial as the competition progresses.
“The secret has been discipline, teamwork and consistency. The boys have shown great commitment on match days. We treat every game like a final. Yes, we believe we have what it takes to be champions we have the quality and the mentality, we just need to stay focused until the end,” said Masaraure.

While social football is built around friendship and camaraderie, Masaraure said the team had managed to strike a balance between the social aspect of the game and the competitive demands of the league.
“We enjoy the friendship and brotherhood that comes with social football, but once we cross the line onto the pitch, we compete. We have managed to balance it by respecting each other off the pitch and being professional on it. We play hard but we play fair,” he said.
He added that the players’ passion for football and the team spirit within the AfricaBet family had been central to their strong start.
