A SAKUBVA woman has approached the courts seeking a protection order against her son and his wife who are in the habit of insulting her in a bid to evict her from her house.

Mercy George (56) appeared before Mrs Annia Ndiraya praying for a protection order.

She said her daughter-in-law, Brenda Muzii, was influencing her son, Leon Muzii to evict her from her Devonshire house which she built with her late husband.

She told the court that Leon was only five-years-old when his father died, leaving her to fend for him up to adulthood.

“They threaten to throw me out of my Sakubva house and yet he was only five when his father died. Your Worship, I fended for my son up to adulthood.

“Now that he is married he wants me out of my house,” she said.

George also told the court that the couple was in the habit of assaulting and scolding her.

“If they need to continue staying with me, they should stop scolding, threatening or insulting me.”

Muzii did not say anything, save to ask for forgiveness.

“What we did was wrong. We are asking for forgiveness.”

A protection order was granted to George.
