Agribusiness forum on cards

food security.
This year’s edition of the forum will be a three-day affair to be held from February 26 to 28. It will  include research reports, case studies, project pitches, innovative product awareness talks from Government officials, agriculture and economic experts, researchers, farmers and other key stakeholders in the agro and allied sectors.

The event organisers, Africa Agriculture, said the purpose of the forum is to bring together the private sector and governments in Sub-Saharan Africa so that they can tap into the vast potential of the agriculture sector by making new investments to enhance economic opportunities.

They said the forum is a country-focused follow-up to the third Africa Agriculture Sustainable Investment and Development Conference held in 2012.

The AASIDC seeks to encourage collaborative and innovative responses by current and prospective farmers, governments, the aid community and consumers to the poverty and food security challenges Africa is facing.
