Air Marshal Moyo delivers message to Namibia leader

THE Commander of the Air Force of Zimbabwe, Air Marshal Elson Moyo, yesterday delivered a special message to Namibian President Hage Geingob at his family farm in Hadaloha.

Air Marshal Moyo is in Namibia as a special envoy of President Mnangagwa. The visit comes as the two countries continue to identify strategic areas of co-operation to strengthen relations.

A statement posted on the official Twitter account of the Namibian Presidency said the two countries share bilateral relations and will continue to identify strategic areas of co-operation to strengthen those relations.

“President Hage Geingob received a courtesy visit from Air Marshal Elson Moyo, Special Envoy of His Excellency, President ED Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe,” reads part of the statement.

“Namibia and Zimbabwe share bilateral relations and will continue to identify strategic areas of co-operation to strengthen those relations.”

President Geingob welcomed what he termed a special message from his counterpart, President Mnangagwa, as well as good wishes for the year ahead.

Air Marshal Moyo said President Mnangagwa’s message to President Geingob emphasises the need for Namibia and Zimbabwe to continue identifying strategic areas of co-operation to strengthen bilateral relations.

Namibia and Zimbabwe have a number of bilateral co-operation agreements and also participate in multilateral platforms.
