Four other galas of the same magnitude are expected during this swimming season and Alexander had the privilege to host the first tournament.

Highlands, Borrowdale, Admiral Tait, Maranatha and the host Alexander primary schools will take part in the event that started last year.
Pool Pumping Filter Centre (PPFC) will chip in with prizes for the winners and they are looking forward to a competitive event. The PPFC sales and marketing executive Audrey Marwa is hopeful that this year’s event will be bigger and better.

“We are trying to work hand in glove with the schools as it is our industry of maintaining, constructing and offer training for pools,” said Marwa.
“This year’s event was moved to Harare as we have noted that the most participants are from the province.

“The inaugural event was held at Rydings Primary in Karoi where we had a good outing but most participants were from Harare.
