Alex the team to beat

THE sky is the limit for Alexandra Sports Club after accumulating 10 points in the Bob Mitchell tournament at Avondale Bowling Club over the weekend. Alex A and B men’s sides have both won five game after six rounds.

With just one more round to finish the entire tournament, Alex have been the team to beat.

Clive Robertson, one of the Alex players, believes they are going to end the campaign undefeated.

“Our team performed very well and I am confident we are going to be undefeated in our remaining round,” said Robertson. “We have won five and only lost one game and, therefore, we are going to be this year’s champions of the Bob Mitchell. “We are far ahead on aggregate and our points are very good so it is either going to be Alexandra A or B winning the tournament.
