SUNGURA maestro Alick Macheso will be in Victoria Falls this Saturday for a date with the resort city’s fans at the Cotton Club.
Not new in the city as he has played at a number of corporate and private functions, Macheso makes a return to the city giving music lovers what promises to be a weekend treat.
He will lead his band Orchestra Mberikwazvo on stage on Saturday night, sharing the stage with local artistes including DJ Tanaman, MC Kay Tee and Cymplex Music.
One of the founders of the Cotton Club, Kuda Chigoma said it is all set for the show at the venue which has hosted a number of high profile artists before.
“We booked him in January and he is bringing his 23 member band. He will share the stage with some local band and Cymplex,” said Chigoma.
Cotton Club has hosted a number of big names including DJ Tira, Musa Keys, Freeman, Killer T and Saintflow.
The luxurious venue hosted a memorable packed Easter weekend recently where there was Heavy K, alongside Just Leo, Joyful Praise and Dorcas Moyo.
Easter Sunday afternoon was a packed family show which shut down with Sulumani Chimbetu on Easter Sunday night.
