Tottenham have re-scheduled a meeting with Bayern Munich officials for tomorrow as they discuss the potential sale of Harry Kane.
Daniel Levy is understood to have cancelled Friday’s planned talks with Jan-Christian Dreesen and Marco Neppe, and a meeting in London tomorrow is now likely.
Spurs hold an interest in Bayern forward Mathys Tel, which could come into play during talks, but the 18-year-old has turned down multiple offers to leave the Bavarian outfit so far.
Kane has just one year remaining on his current deal at Tottenham and the club are expecting a third offer from the Bavarian side in the coming days.
The German club are also willing to offer Kane a four-year contract and have been looking to tie down his England team-mate Kyle Walker, too.
Die Roten’s desire to bring the Spurs talisman to the German top-flight was encapsulated by Bayern president Herbert Hainer, publicly declaring the club’s interest in Kane last week.
Hainer explained that the signing of England’s record goalscorer would represent something of a coup for the league as a whole. Even with just one year remaining on his contract, the fee required to sign Kane would almost certainly break the club’s transfer record, with Tottenham expected to hold out for £100 million for their all-time leading goalscorer.
French defender Lucas Hernandez currently sits atop Bayern’s record arrivals chart, with Niko Kovac spending £68 million to bring the Atletico Madrid star to the Allianz Arena. Tel, meanwhile, joined Bayern Munich in 2022 and has returned five goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances, notably having only made one start in the league last season.
The 18-year-old is a versatile forward and can play across the front three and has made several appearances in France’s age grade teams.
Tel scored during Bayern’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in Tokyo last week, and after the match, his coach, Thomas Tuchel, made it clear the club were searching for new options. — Dailymail
