All fine on home front for Mel B?

Her stellar stint as a judge on The X Factor last year was overshadowed by reports something was awry in her marriage. But Mel B appeared to be as loved up as ever as she enjoyed a romantic date with husband Stephen Belafonte.

The couple beamed as they held hands on their way to the LACMA museum in Los Angeles this week.

Stopping off along the way to take a cute selfie, the former Spice Girl puckered up and planted a kiss on the film producer’s cheek while they looked up into his camera phone.

After leaving smudge of red lipstick on his face, she affectionately wiped it off, before they took a look at their snap.

Mel was dressed to the nines in a figure-flaunting backless blue jumpsuit, brightened up with a red bag and matching heels.

Meanwhile, Stephen – who has been wed to the singer for seven years – went casual for their night on the town, opting for just a black T-shirt and baggy jeans.

Their defiant show comes just a week after Mel responded to reports the Metropolitan Police were probing claims she was held hostage at her £4million London home by her husband just a day before she was rushed to hospital in December.

A spokesperson for the star told the MailOnline: “Mel did not make these allegations and is adamant they are totally untrue. She will be telling the police they are completely false.”0

The incident occurred just before The X Factor final, forcing her to miss the Saturday night performance

She returned to the stage for the announcement of the winner at Wembley Arena, but caused concern due to bruising all over her arms.

Her appearance sparked speculation that Belafonte had hit her, an unsubstantiated accusation he vehemently denied. Speaking to MailOnline, he said: “You can only re-mix 10en things, 10 ways, so many times,” he told MailOnline. “Who accused me of it, did she accuse me of it, the police, the hospital, who accused me of it.” – DailyMail.
