RED-HOT diva, Feli Nandi, is never shy to take risks, even if it means parting with a fortune while seeking new adventures.

From being a backing vocalist for Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora a few years back to becoming a household name, the songstress has left indelible footprints in the music industry.

Feli has captivated audiences from the 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale and the Harare International Conference Centre to top venues in South Africa.

She has also become a national treasure, rarely missing major festivals on her home turf.

Her name has been written in bold and gold.

On December 19, the “Muti Watemwa” hitmaker will be invading what was once Oliver Mtukudzi’s fortress — the Andy Millar Hall, or simply the Glamis Arena terraces.

This time around, the event is not an album launch but her signature gig, “A Night With Feli Nandi Volume 8.”

So daring is this multiple award-winning diva that she won’t feature any supporting acts on the day, as she seeks to get “intimate” with her fans.

Those who have attended her previous shows under the same banner would agree that the songstress is brave enough to take on new challenges.

Her team is in buoyant spirits ahead of this gathering, which is not just a show but also a test of her appeal to the masses in Harare.

“If we don’t attract the big crowd we anticipate, we will keep repeating the event until we reach that goal,” joked the diva’s manager, Connie Mazani.

“We are always prepared for any show, no matter where it is held. We give our all every time we step on stage to perform. Music is our job, and we are ready for the December 19 encounter.”

In an additional statement, Mazani assured music fans that they were well-prepared for the event.

“The event will be hosted at Andy Millar — at the Harare Showgrounds, the iconic former home ground of the late legendary Oliver Mtukudzi, providing a deeply symbolic and historic backdrop to an already powerful musical experience.

“Following the resounding success of the Johannesburg edition, held at the Hard Rock Café in Sandton earlier this year, Volume 8 promises an elevated and immersive celebration of Feli Nandi’s artistry, storytelling, and unmatched vocal mastery.

“Her Johannesburg show attracted a diverse audience and marked a new milestone in her expanding international footprint, perfectly setting the stage for an unforgettable Harare edition,” she emphasised.

Mazani added that this eighth edition of Feli’s movement is particularly special, as it comes during the height of the festive season.

“We are inviting fans into an evening of soulful music, elegant ambiance, and heartfelt performances from one of Zimbabwe’s leading contemporary artists. Known for her deeply emotive delivery and captivating stage presence, Feli Nandi will perform a curated selection of her beloved hits, new music, and special surprises crafted exclusively for this edition.

“A Night With Feli Nandi has grown into one of Zimbabwe’s most sought-after boutique concert experiences, renowned for its intimacy, authenticity, and artistic excellence. Vol. 8 is expected to be the most memorable edition yet — honouring heritage, celebrating growth, and connecting fans to the evolving journey of Feli Nandi,” she added.

The phenomenal percussionist is undoubtedly one of Zimbabwe’s finest divas, whose career has continued to blaze a trail of success.

Fame and fortune have shadowed her due to her discipline, hard work, and consistency.

She leads one of the biggest outfits that resembles an orchestra.

Unlike other female artists from her generation, Feli currently faces no competition, judging by the remarkable progress she has made.

It’s no doubt that she continues to amass music awards as a result of her consistency and hard work.
