VICTORIA Falls will be a hive of activity this weekend as the city hosts the inaugural Mosi-oa-Tunya Festival.

This will be a celebration of diverse businesses and cultures under the theme: “Zimbabwe’s biggest multinational chill”.

The event starts today at Baobab Primary School and ends on Monday. Expected to entertain the crowd are Anita Jackson, DJ Langton, King98, Samimi, Meaku, Shaneen Angeles, Madehere Beloeve and Ijekimora.

According to organisers, Mosi-oa-Tunya, an organisation dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of all communities in Zimbabwe, the event will bring together a diverse mix of companies, entertainers, business owners and investors.

Each will showcase their services while exhibiting Zimbabwe’s potential. The event also seeks to showcase Zimbabwe’s diverse cultures and hospitality.

“Whether you are a business leader, a cultural explorer, or simply wanting to have fun, this momentous event is the right place for you, “co-founder of Mosi-oa-Tunya Carol Antonio Samuel said in a statement.

She said various local and foreign speakers have been invited and these include Dr Faith Nyamukapa, Zandile Ndlovu, Arvind Nayer, Angel Mansah, Nasha Muchochomi, Freddy Mukz, Annabelle MacKenzie, Karen Nyenga and Alla Mujuru.

Samuel said the Mosi-oa-Tunya festival intends to provide a memorable experience beyond business engagements.

She said hosting the event at Baobab Primary School is a way of giving back to the community.

“The  goal is to unite Zimbabweans worldwide in a collaborative effort to rebuild our nation, fostering a sense of unity among Zimbabweans and Africans. This is why we have organised the multinational chill aiming to facilitate international business partnerships and showcase the talents of our local community,” she said.
