Jah Prayzah, the man currently riding on a silver crest yesterday returned home after weeks of touring and working on several projects in America and Canada.

The star behind the chart topping Eriza and Tsviriyo hits landed at the Harare International Airport where he received a warrior’s welcome from hordes of fans and promoters.

His manager Keen Mushapaidze said all was set for the launch of his album – Mdhara Vachauya in Harare and Bulawayo over the weekend.

“It’s amazing how we were welcomed home. We were not expecting this.

“The fans really appreciate us and we too, love the support and we’ll honour that with good projects. As I am speaking to you now, we’re driving around town and there’s a massive convoy, off head there’re about between 30 and 40 cars.

“While at the airport security personnel wouldn’t let us go outside because they feared that their property might be damaged. We know fans have been eagerly awaiting this album and likewise, we will not disappoint,” Mushapaidze said.

He said Jah Prayzah was received warmly in America and Canada.

“We were in America where we toured Dallas, Washington DC, and Indianapolis before going to Canada where we performed in Toronto at some festivals,” he said.

Concerning the several competition draws Jah Prayzah was supposed to attend in Bulawayo; Mushapaidze said it was an unfortunate turn of events, as they experienced a delay in their flight from  overseas.

“The show must go on, but it’s however unfortunate that his fans won’t get a chance to see him for the draws as anticipated. Our flights were delayed but we’ll make it up to our Bulawayo fans.

“The draws are now going to be held by the respective branch managers of the selected stores in Bulawayo.”

Jive Zimbabwe director; Benjamin Nyandoro said as promoters and partners to Jah Prayzah’s music and brand, they were excited to be giving away huge prizes to promote the album.

The competition draws will be held in Harare and Bulawayo with Bulawayo one slated for today at OK, TM and Choppies stores.

“We’ve two of the latest versions of the Toyota Vitz valued at $6,500 up for grabs. One will be won in Harare while the other in Bulawayo. We also have TV sets and fridges.

“The first promotion will be in Harare and the last in Bulawayo. There’s already much hype about the album and we want to give fans value for their money and good quality music,” said Nyandoro.

The show is pegged at $5 before 10pm and $10 thereafter.
