“This year, two queens will be crowned; Miss Global Zimbabwe and Miss International. The finalists are already in camp and we are ready to stage yet another red carpet pageant.
Just like last year, we have a star studded line up of local and international guests that include,” he said.
Munzara said this year; they have taken their time in an effort to produce a small, but glamorous pageant. The organisers also confirmed that the reigning Miss Global International from Europe will be coming through to officiate.
Munzara said various sponsors who had come through to support the show included Black Opal Zimbabwe, Ethiopian Embassy, African Fried Chicken, Vaida Chemicals, Pepsi, Darling hair, Sleek Hair Salon, Margolis resort among others. He opened up on the partnership with Parade Magazine that he said failed to materialise, owing to a number of technicalities.
Another organiser, Ronald Tisauke, the marketing personnel added that the pageant was not only looking to crown a beautiful girl, but one who had what it takes to be an ambassador at the world finals.
“We do not want to get the girls excited about winning cars or money, but rather develop a sense of social responsibility. Since the official sashing ceremony, the girls have been working on developmental projects where they derive 50 percent of their marks ,” he said.
The winner would earn the right to participate in Miss Global International in Jamaica while the second best would take part in Miss International finals in Japan.
