THE ramp is set for 12 beautiful finalists to compete for the Miss South Africa crown.

The finale will be held at Carnival City in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni on Saturday and will be televised live on M-Net and Mzansi Magic DStv channels at 5PM.

The winner will receive cash and products valued at more than R2 million, making the pageant one of the richest in the world.

Some of the Queen’s prizes include: a Nissan Juke 1.6 DIG-T Tekna, Sun International and Cell C cash prize, Soviet cash and gift vouchers, jewellery from Jack Friedman, apparel and perfume, premiums for medical and vehicle insurance, footwear, hair extensions, L’Oréal/Mizani products, LTE router with 200GB of data, Lenovo tablet, personal and image branding workshops, make-up and lessons as well as 50 domestic business class tickets and two international business class tickets.

She will also get study bursaries from to award to South Africans she will meet during her reign. Cell C and Sun International is also giving her access to R200,000 to spend on random acts of kindness.

Outgoing Miss SA, Liesl Laurie who will hand over her crown to her successor wished the finalists all the best.

One of the finalists, Felicia Muwayi from Nelspruit, Mpumalanga said Miss South Africa was not just about the glitz and glamour.

“I believe a successful Miss South Africa is one who’s willing to get down and get dirty,” she said.

Ntandoyenkosi Kunene from Piet Retief in Mpumalanga said:
