Zimpapers, in partnership with Island Hospice and Healthcare, is inviting Zimbabweans from all walks of life to the sixth edition of the Annual Cancer Power Walk.
The physical walk will take place concurrently in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo, Gweru and Kariba on Saturday.
Zimpapers Public Relations and Communications Manager (Digital and Publishing Division) Mrs Pauline Matanda said: “We are inviting participants to register. Let us come in our numbers and walk together towards this worthy cause.”
She said participants can pay registration through Ecocash and email their names and surnames to [email protected] or via the online link: <https://cancerwalk.zimpapers.co.zw/register.
“Please collect your T-shirt upon registration and prepare your walking regalia for this Saturday. You cannot afford to miss this walk; remember it’s for a worthy cause. For just $1 000 you are registered to walk and all proceeds go towards cancer. Donations are also welcome, just send through to our CSR Ecocash merchant code 019201. We also use the same code for registration.”
Sponsors for this Year’s Cancer Power Walk include: Sunny Yi Feng, who are the Platinum partner, Bata, Fusertech, National Aids Council, MicourVisions, ZITF, Amtec, Clean Zimbabwe, Randnet, Refresher Mineral Water, Karorina’s Wellness Spa and Wellness Medical Aid Society.
This year’s event will feature a 10km run in Harare which begins at Old Hararians Sports Club. Five kilometre walks will take place at the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo, Nyamhunga Primary School in Kariba, Manicaland Motoring Club in Mutare. The Civic Centres in Gweru and Masvingo will also host 5km walks.
