Alliance Francaise to host Jacaranda Muse welcome home concert

The group’s lead vocalist and saxophonist Vimbai “Vee” Mukarati said the Friday show would be explossive.

“We had a successful tour promoting our debut album. From performing in Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg and Maseru in Lesotho, we learnt a lot and bonded as a group. This is what we are hoping to bring out in the Friday show,” he said.

Vee, who is studying Jazz and contemporary music in Ireland added that the album would carve their name on the local scene.
Other members of Jacaranda Muse are Tinashe Mukarati, the percussionist, Philbert Murova, the keyboard player and Eion Kenny, the cello player.

Malynn Miller, a representative of Old Mutual Alliance Francaise said the joint was happy to host the group.
“Jacaranda Muse has raised the country’s profile through their music and it time that they get the attention of the local people too. It could be one of the most interesting shows so far so we encourage people to come in their numbers,” she said

The group is well travelled and has performed in Paris, Germany, Ireland, Norway, United States, Zambia, Botswana and Paris, were the album, September Sun was first launched.
The group is looking forward to draw local fans through the Friday show as well as another scheduled for Bulawayo.

Jacaranda Muse has also registered success on social media with their promotional track “on my mind’ that is available on-line for free download.
Other hit songs on the album include Let you go, Moonlight- their rendition of Sekuru Gora’s song, Still in love
