A STRATEGIC alliance has been forged to propel Zimbabwean art onto the world map, showcasing the country’s creative talent to a global audience of over three million collectors and art enthusiasts in a month.
Through partnerships with Artsy, Artnet, Artplacer, Artsper, and Cohart – five of the world’s most influential art platforms – Zimbabwean artists will now have access to a vast international network, opening up new opportunities for exposure, collaboration and sales.
As the year closes, Artgal.Online and Swiss Zim Heritage will jointly stage “Roots & Horizons – Christmas Edition,” a seasonal show viewable online and at the Art84 Gallery in Harare.
Keith Zenda, founder of Zenda Art Centre and Gallery and the driving force behind ArtGalZim Centre, said:
“We’ve already sold paintings to international collectors, testament to the global appeal of Zimbabwean art and the power of grassroots initiatives.”
Through both online viewing rooms in Harare, Zenda said it will showcase how Zimbabwean and African contemporary art continue to connect cultures and inspire hope across continents.
Curated by Swiss-Zim Heritage, the exhibition features established names alongside emerging voices.
“This strategic alliance propels Zimbabwean art onto the global stage, leveraging our network across Artsy, Artnet, Artplacer, Artsper, and Cohart – five of the world’s most influential art platforms.
“We proudly showcase Zimbabwean art to over three million collectors and art enthusiasts monthly, spanning Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.”
The exhibition will highlight artists whose work reflects heritage, identity and spiritual renewal, offering a sweeping look at how Zimbabwean creators engage with ancestral roots to forge future pathways.
This prestigious event features talented artists Courtney Chots, Florah Maphosa, Willard Magiga, Brain Momba, Willard Mujuru, Roselyn Marikasi, Tonderai Mujuru, and Keith Zenda.
Their works trace the journey from ancestral roots to new horizons – a dialogue between memory and modern expression.
Zenda said each piece is imbued with gratitude, resilience and the human capacity to create beauty from struggle and dreams from heritage.
