FORMER Highlanders hitman Obadiah Tarumbwa has penned a three-year deal with Absa Premiership side University of Pretoria.
Tarumbwa, who also had stints with Belgian side Cercle Brugge before coming back home where he played for the now relegated Bantu Rovers, has been on loan to Kenyan side Sofapaka.
According to media reports from South Africa, the 27-year-old player agreed personal terms on Wednesday and terms have now been agreed between the two clubs paving the way for the deal to be concluded.
The player must now apply for his work permit to be eligible to play for the club when the season kicks off.
He is also the first striker that AmaTuks have signed so far as they look for replacements for Dumisani Ngwenya, Mame Niang, David Radebe, Thokozani Sekotlong and Diyo Sibisi who all left the club.
At AmaTuks, Tarumbwa will be reunited with his former teammate at Highlanders Washington Arubi and former Caps United player Lionel M’tizwa.-Sports Reporter/KickOff.
