LET us never forget who we are — sons and daughters of Zimbabwe and custodians of Africa’s destiny.
The words by His Excellency, President Mnangagwa, are not merely utterances; they are a solemn charge to every Zimbabwean, wherever they may be.
Whether in the heart of Harare, in foreign corridors abroad, in rural homesteads or lecture halls of foreign universities, we must remain firmly anchored in our identity.
We are Zimbabwean. We are African.
That truth is not negotiable, not seasonal, nor subject to the whims of circumstance.
It is eternal.
No matter the heights we scale, the accolades we earn or the fortunes we amass, we must never allow success to dilute our sacred sense of duty.
Our achievements must serve a higher purpose — the upliftment of our nation and advancement of our continent.
We are not just individuals chasing personal glory; we are part of a collective mission to build, defend and develop Zimbabwe.
That is the essence of patriotism.
It is not blind allegiance but a conscious commitment.
It is the fire that burns in the belly of every true son and daughter of the soil.
It is the quiet resolve to stand firm when others falter, to speak boldly when silence is more convenient and to act when action is needed most.
As a patriotic cadre, I do not waver.
I do not forget.
My loyalty to Zimbabwe is not a matter of convenience — it is a matter of principle.
I believe in the vision of a united, sovereign and prosperous Zimbabwe.
I believe in the African renaissance.
And yes, my ideological compass is not without direction.
I walk the path of liberation. I speak the language of comradeship.
I believe in the legacy of those who fought for our freedom.
I believe in the leadership that prioritises land, dignity and national pride.
I believe in continuity, in loyalty and in the revolutionary spirit that still guides our nation.
Those who know, know.
Africa’s destiny lies in African hands.
We must reject the notion that development must come from outside.
We must embrace the truth that our future is ours to shape.
Let us build industries that serve our people.
Let us educate our youth not to flee but to lead.
Let us invest in agriculture, technology, infrastructure and culture.
Let us tell our own stories, write our own history and shape our own destiny.
Zimbabwe is not a project — it is a promise.
A promise to future generations that we will not abandon our post, that we will not trade our heritage for convenience and that we will not forget who we are.
Let us rise with pride.
Let us speak with conviction.
Let us act with courage.
The world may watch.
The critics may scoff but we know who we are.
We are the builders of a new Zimbabwe.
We are the custodians of Africa’s future.
We are the children of the revolution.
And we will not be moved.
Forward ever. Backward never.
The struggle continues.
Victory is certain.
