Being granted the opportunity to perform at big events such as the Victoria Falls Carnival, an extravaganza that comes once a year, is every upcoming artiste’s dream but only a few ever get the opportunity to present their talents on such an acclaimed platform.

This year Andrea the Vocalist will make history, becoming the youngest artiste to showcase his talent at the prestigious event.

This will be a great milestone for the young award-winning musician in his career as he will continue to make his name great while performing alongside other great musicians from both local and international levels.

In an interview with Sunday Life, Tokyo Nkanyiso Moyo who is Andrea’s Road manager said this will be Andrea’s second time to perform in his hometown and it brings much joy not only to him but his family and friends as he gets to showcase his talent to his own people and they will come in their numbers to cheer him up.

“Performing at the Carnival will ensure his profile grows and with that comes an opportunity for him to perform his new songs, including Amanxeba. Andrea is excited about this opportunity and he will put up his best performance because opportunities only come once”he added.

The young and energetic artiste is confident especially when doing something he is passionate about, viewing from his past performances. His love for music and performing for the masses, gives him the courage to never struggle when it comes to stage presence.

Moyo said they take every performance as a big opportunity, thus they ensure that he rehearses his songs and they prepare him in advance so that by the time he performs, he is in top shape. He said for Andrea, every day is rehearsal day especially when schools are closed.

“Andrea looks up to most of the artistes who have been in the industry for a long time. Also, when we rehearse, we make sure we prepare him mentally for the big stage and as noticed, each performance of his is an improvement from the last one”, said Moyo.

The event that will run from 28 to 30 April 2023 will this year have two editions with one stage set in Victoria Falls at the Elephant Hills Resort and another in Livingstone, Zambia at the Radisson Blu Mosi-Oa-Tunya as a part and parcel of the Mosi Day of thunder festival. However, this annual event will remain strongly rooted in Victoria Falls.
