Angolan army general tours Heroes Acre

VISITING Angolan Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, General Altino Carlos Jose dos Santos, yesterday toured the National Heroes Acre in Harare and laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

General Santos is leading a delegation of five senior officers from the Angolan Armed Forces on a working visit to Zimbabwe.

Angolan Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, General Altino Carlos Jose dos Santos, who is on a working visit in the country, today toured the National Heroes Acre.

On his arrival in the country on Wednesday, the Zimbabwe Defence Forces held a Guard of Honour for him at Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks in Harare.

Yesterday, after laying the wreath, he also visited the Museum of African Liberation adjacent to the National shrine.

Angolan Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, General Altino Carlos Jose dos Santos, who is on a working visit in the country, today toured the National Heroes Acre.

General Santos also paid a courtesy call on his counterpart, the Commander of the ZDF, General Philip Valerio Sibanda.

He will visit a number of places countrywide.

Today, he is expected to visit the Zimbabwe Military Academy in Gweru.
