LOCAL football coaches have been handed another golden opportunity to sharpen their technical skills and climb another rung on the coaching ladder, with Zifa opening registration for a Caf B Coaching Course set for October.
The latest opportunity comes barely weeks after the first module of the Caf A Diploma Coaching Course was concluded in Harare, signalling a renewed push to equip Zimbabwean coaches with internationally recognised qualifications.
According to the latest Zifa coaching course announcement, the Caf B programme will run from October 12 to 17, 2026, with only 25 places available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For coaches eager to keep pace with the changing demands of the modern game, the course presents more than just another certificate, it is a chance to broaden their tactical knowledge, improve player development methods and strengthen their credentials on the increasingly competitive football landscape.
The course fee has been pegged at US$1 400, while registration closes on September 30.
Applicants must hold a valid Caf C Licence, with the licence required to be less than three years old. Coaches whose Caf C licences are more than three years old will be required to complete a Caf C refresher course.
Other requirements include a minimum three-week logbook, a medical report, computer literacy and proof of current attachment and active involvement with a football team.
The timing of the programme is particularly significant for Zimbabwean football, which continues to invest in improving the quality of coaching at various levels of the game.
The recent completion of the first module of the Caf A Diploma course in Harare underlined the appetite among local coaches to advance their qualifications and keep themselves abreast of modern football trends.
The Caf B course now offers another group of coaches an opportunity to take that important step forward.
With only 25 spaces available, aspiring participants will need to move quickly before the limited slots are taken.
