Another Kenyan coach banished from Games

Cape Town — Kenyan athletics coach John Anzrah has been sent home from the Rio Games after submitting his own urine as a sample, instead of that of an athlete, during a doping test.

Anzrah is the second Kenyan to be banished from the Games in Brazil, after track and field manager Michael Rotich allegedly accepted cash for allowing undercover journalists — posing as athlete representatives — know when drugs tests would occur.

“We have sent sprint coach Anzrah back home. He presented himself as an athlete, gave the urine sample and even signed the documents. We cannot tolerate such behaviour,” chairperson of the National Olympic Committee of Kenya, Kip Keino, told Reuters.

Rotich has denied the allegations. — Sport24.
