Another man killed in Marondera

Residents of Magwaza village under Chief Svosve in Marondera are living in fear after one of the residents Mr Emmanuel Chinjonjo was murdered in cold blood and the person or people responsible are yet to be identified.

The incident occurred on September 28, 2024, in Magwaza Village and the police have since launched a manhunt for the murderer.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident adding that the deceased (26) was discovered with wounds on his body.

“Police in Marondera are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of murder in which Emmanuel Chinjonjo (26) was found dead with wounds on the head and back on September 28, 2024 at Magwaza Village, Svosve,” he said.

The Magwaza murder follows another cold-blooded murder incident that occurred in Marondera where a Halsteds employee was attacked and killed on his way home.

The body of Mr Luke Limbe was discovered on September 17, 2024, around 7 pm at the boundary of Ruzawi and Atherstone farm in Marondera.

Police said the deceased had deep cuts in parts of his body caused by an unknown sharp object.

The murderer is still unknown and investigations are in progress.
