FORMER Motor Action striker Quincy Antipas will play in the Europa League next season after his Danish Superliga side Brondby finished fourth on the final log standings. However, it was not all rosy for Antipas’s fellow countryman in the league Silas Songani as his side Sonderjyske were relegated to the second tier league following a 0-0 draw at home to Danish powerhouse Kobenhavn.
Songani, formerly at Harare City, also earned his first caution since moving to Europe when he was yellow carded in the 60th minute before being substituted.
Antipas will be relishing the opportunity of rubbing shoulders with Europe’s best teams and players in the Europa League.
There is a chance that the list of teams might include English giants Manchester United who have been in serious and constant decline since Scotsman, David Moyes took over from the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
