Michael Magoronga in Kwekwe
DELEGATES from the United States of America, Ghana, South Africa and the United Kingdom, have started arriving in Kwekwe, joining scores of locals who are participating in the Apostolic Summit, which kicks off on Thursday evening.
The small mining town is already a hive of activity as visitors trickle in, bringing increased business activity to hotels, restaurants, transport operators and other service providers.
The mining four-day gathering, running from October 22 to 25, 2026, is being hosted by New Creation Life Ministries International, led by Apostle Joy and Pastor Mary Museba, and has generated considerable excitement among gospel enthusiasts and the local business community.
The summit will be held at the newly constructed Life Centre, a 2,500-seater auditorium believed to be the largest of its kind in Kwekwe, adding to the city’s growing profile as a destination for major religious gatherings.
Among the key speakers scheduled to attend the event are: Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa, among other gospel musicians, including Blessing Jeduthun, Mathias Mhere, Joyful Praise, The Unveiled and Batsirai Shasha.
In his remarks, Apostle Munatsi Sande said preparations for the gathering had been completed, and invited people from across the country to attend.
“All is ready for the Apostolic Summit to kick-start this Thursday. You are invited in your numbers to come and enjoy the presence of the Lord together. The event is going to be on another level,” he said.
“Everybody in the Midlands Province and across the country is invited to this event, where we are riding on our theme: ‘Walking in Dominion’”.
Kwekwe Mayor, Councillor Albert Zinhanga, said the summit was contributing to the city’s economic activity while highlighting the importance of social responsibility.
“The summit is contributing in a big way to social responsibility and economic activities. I understand there is a lot of economic activity as people are coming into Kwekwe from all corners of the world and the country.
“The Life Centre itself has contributed immensely, as it contributes towards our local GDP. As you may be aware, Kwekwe is growing in terms of infrastructure, and the Life Centre is part of the statistics,” he said.
The summit opens with a ‘Glitz and Glamour Night’, featuring Joyful Praise and Batsirai Shasha as the headline entertainment acts at the black-tie event.
Proceedings will continue over the next three days, culminating in the grand finale on Sunday, October 25.
