Armed robbers in court

charged with armed robbery.
Stephen Matanhire (42), Taurai Dzingai (44), Sebastin Mupambwi (32) and George Chindomu (42) used the money to buy three cars.

They were not asked to plead to the charges when they appeared before magistrate Mr Donald Ndirowei.
He remanded the gang in custody to October 10 and advised them to apply for bail at the High Court.

Prosecutor Ms Svodai Kadivirire alleged that on August I this year, the quartet in connivance with Tapera Nyambayaro who is still at large went to the shop (whose owner was not named) armed with a pistol.
The gang, it is alleged, broke the lock on the main gate and gained entry into the premises.
