Art exhibition to mark Zedong’s 120th birthday anniversary

BEIJING. — An exhibition to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Mao Zedong on December 26, is slated for opening today at the National Museum of China. The exhibition, called “Giant Mao Zedong,” is being staged jointly by the National Museum of China and the Central Archives, and features Mao’s calligraphy along with paintings and sculptures of the late Chinese leader.

More than a hundred of Mao’s own art works have been brought together by the Central Archives, as well as sculptures, oil paintings and traditional Chinese paintings by well-known artists, depicting Mao’s revolutionary life and accomplishments. — Xinhua.
