Director of Amakhosi Cont Mhlanga said the finals of Dreams to Fame 2011 will be held today.
“The Dreams to Fame finals will be on this weekend and this year’s set up will be more exciting to those who have been following this programme since last year,” he said.
Mhlanga said every year they have five categories that would be contesting but this year only two categories have managed to make it to the finals.
“This year we have music and dance categories that have made it to the finals.
“Modelling, poetry and theatre artistes could not make it t as they were pulled out along the way,” he said.
Mhlanga said the winners of last year in the music and dance categories would be defending their titles against this year’s finalists.
“This year’s show is not to be missed as we are going to have the best talent taking the crown in either music or dance.
“We have decided to invite last year’s winners to come forward and defend their titles against this year’s finalists,” he said.
Mhlanga said this year’s finalists in the music category include Young Stan Koi Koi and Crazy Bug who will battle it out with 2010 winners, The Genuious and Thabile.
“We are going to pit the best of the best and only the judges will tell who is worth to get the prize at the end of the day,” he said.
Mhlanga said in the dance category the Amapopcorn and the Explosion who would battle it out with Locxion Stone and Naledi who ruled the roost in the 2010 finals.
Mhlanga said a panel of celebrity judges who include Sandra Ndebele, Patience Makhulumo and Albert Nyathi would grace this year’s finals.
