ARTISTS RALLY BEHIND AMMARA BROWN AFTER A SERIES OF SETBACKS

A NUMBER of artists have rallied behind Ammara Brown after a series of distressing events she says have unfolded over the past weeks.

Ammara, who is preparing for the release of her upcoming album ‘Flaming Lily,’ opened up about a difficult period that has included theft, her son’s swimming pool accident, illness and online bullying.

Her revelations have triggered an outpouring of support from fellow musicians and entertainers with many encouraging her to remain strong and assuring her of their prayers.

Musician Nutty O urged Ammara to remember her strength.

“Strongest soldiers get the hardest fights, remember who you are Flaming Lily.” South African singer, Vusi Nova, also offered words of encouragement, telling Ammara that he believed she was destined to overcome the challenges.

“I love how you know it’s not a coincidence my darling. You, are chosen, no doubt. Tested you will be. Victorious you will be,” he wrote.

Singer Gemma Griffith described Ammara as a loved and valued figure in Zimbabwean music while expressing sympathy over the difficult period she has endured.

“My beautiful friend, may the Lord guard your heart at this time. Praying for you and thinking of you.

“You are so loved and so valued and so important to Zimbabwe,” she said. Musician Anita Jaxson also joined the chorus of support, praying for Ammara and highlighting her contribution to female musicians in Zimbabwe.

“Zimbabwe loves you, you have paved the way for many female musicians. We ARE because of you,” she wrote. Other entertainers, including VCandy, gospel musician Everton Mlalazi and DJ Kingher, also sent messages of encouragement.

Mlalazi simply assured her: “It is well my sister. In our prayers.”

DJ Kingher, meanwhile, encouraged her to keep pushing ahead with her music.

“I wish I was there to give you a big hug. Trust and believe Flaming Lily is filled with light. I can’t wait to rotate YOUR ART on circuit. Keep pushing my hunnay,” she said.

Ammara detailed a series of setbacks that began while she was in Zanzibar completing the mixing of Flaming Lily, when her AirPods Max headphones were stolen.

Days later, her son was involved in a swimming pool accident, resulting in him being rushed to hospital.

She also spoke about being subjected to online bullying, saying about 500 TikTok users targeted her on the eve of her wedding.

Her troubles continued when she fell ill with severe flu and a cough that left her without a voice.

Despite this, she travelled for a performance in Dublin, only to later discover that her property had been stolen from a car after the show.

Among the stolen items were her laptop, headphones and make-up.
